Vocab #4

1. Assimilate- to be absorbed
(uh-sîm'e-lāt)
To be able to assimilate in a good paying job, you have to get your degree in college.
2. Belligerent- quarrelsome
(bee-lîj'e-rent)
Some people are just belligerent and don't know how to control their wild side.
3. Demeanor- behavior
(dî-mēn'er) 
Many depressed people have the demeanor of sadness and isolation. 
4.Denunciation- criticism 
(dî-nûn'sē-ā-shen) 
Many professors give denunciations to their students on their papers. 
5. Dissipate- to scatter
(dîs'e-pāt) 
When someone sneezes the germs dissipate. 

6. Indolent- unwilling to work
(în-dool-int) 
I'm indolent during the summer. 
7. Inherent- natural
(în-hîr'ent)
I think that it is inherent for people to be shy when they're meeting someone for the first time. 
8. Nonchalant- coolly unconcerned
(nôn-sha-lônt)
Every time I do something I'm not, I act nonchalant so no one expects it's me. 
9. Unassuming- humble
(ûn-e-sōō-mîng)
I'm so unassuming when someone compliments me. 
10. Unilateral- one-sided
(yōōn'e'lât'erul) 
Many people are unilateral and are not open minded about other things.
